About the Author

Born in Sweden, Majvor Sabine Aksoy has been honoured three times with, Certificate of Achievement Award for her Creative Writing Skills, she has also been awarded two times with The Editor's Choice Award, for her outstanding achievement in Poetry writing, and presented with the International Poet of Merit award two times. She has also been published in three magazines and nine anthologies, her success story has appeared in her local newspaper twice, and she sold one poem to be used as a song. Her extraordinary success follows as she continues her journey in poetry writing, non-fiction writing and screenwriting.

Through each and every poem that she writes, expresses an idea, an emotion, an experience or all three at the same time. By telling a story, and portraying a character, she describes a scene and sings a song, she creates a conflict, that by the end of it, the argument speaks to the soul in million ways. Most of her poems take an act on the imagination, that takes place in a language through it's artistic expression created in words. The language is more important than the event it relates, sometimes she takes an actual event and filters the event through imagination and then recreates it in words. She likes to translate the event into a language while the reader experiences the translation, the event-in-words that each word echo's with a meaning. She likes to make use of imagery, metaphor, sound and rhythm, and all these aspects happen in her poem all at the same time, they're ongoing working together.

"I write poems about people that have touched me, objects I love, memories and places. I use my fifth senses and even my sixth senses. When I write poetry, I know I can be myself in my own imagination and explore the diffrent sides though poetry. I like to imagine everything like a diamond, having many facets making up a whole full of sparkling endeavours. I like to be in silence, somewhere I can breathe before I begin, being tranquil makes it easier to create a imagination. I enjoy the use of symbols, metaphours and descriptions, I use feelings of any kind to enhance nature. I say what I want to say and I let the reader decide what it means., I don't explain everything. I want the reader to create their own image and wonder why., because that they will remember forever. I write to the world, so that someone special will one day share the feeling with me through my words, and that to me, I will live forever..."

"I WALKED A LONG WAY TIL I FOUND YOU"

                                              I WALKED A LONG WAY...
                                                   I WALKED IN MY DREAMS,
                                                   TO MEET YOU,
                                                   WHEN I REACHED,
                                                   I WOKE UP.

                                                   I WALKED THROUGH GLASS
                                                   TO FIND YOU,
                                                   WHEN I DID,
                                              MY FEET WERE,
                                                   TOO SORE TO STAY.

                                                    I WALKED WHERE MY HEART
                                                    GUIDED ME...
                                                    THERE I FOUND YOU.

                                                    I HOLD YOU NOW,
AND WILL NEVER LET YOU GO.

The Unknown:
 Novel

by Majvor Sabine Aksoy

184 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); catalogue #04-0699; ISBN 1-4120-2870-1; US$22.95, C$28.95, EUR18.85, £13.06

This well-written story is laced with poetic interludes and epigraphs through "stream of consciousness" combining creativity and stream of thought, memory, feeling, emotion, fear, hope and pain into a story seeking to make the world over into images of themselves.

About the Book

Living by the stream of thought, memory, feeling emotion, fear, hope and pain, The Unknown will help the readers examine the meaning of these destinies.

There is a dialogue, a lot of it but much of it is an exchange with a person entirely named "Angel", Jemila exchanges views and perspectives on life, love and the universe with this Angel. The dialogue lasts throughout the book. Angel speaks from the very first page and the very last and everywhere in between.

Whoever this Angel ends up being, the is very important in the scheme of the novel.

The story, the events of the novel are not related in the straightforward manner. Events, what little there are, are explained through the consciousness of the protagonist and almost never described physically as the mental and emotional world of Jemila's own mind. It is very much an interior narrative of Jemila's own mind and soul, a logbook, diary of the conscious mind of the protagonist.

With a flair for poetry and inspirational stories, this novel is laced with poetic interludes and epigraphs. It flows like a river, in fact a river of consciousness. Through the novel, there is a lot of interior strength of character.

I paint portraits of strong people who have a sense of interior, self worth and self esteem who seek to make the world over into images of themselves. Jemila may not be a strong person in the usual sense, but she tends to make the world over in her image. The world is the contents of her mind, and vice versa. Her mind is the outside world, in a sense.

It is mostly about Jemila remembering events in the lives of a family, that lead to the central flaw or strength of character(s) and understanding how a character will act in the story.

Through the dialogue with Angel, Jemila finds true strength from Angel's words and from that she decides that we are most alike in our feelings and least alike in our thinking. Angel's visit to Jemila through dream, brings about a new beginning to Jemila's stream of thought, memory, feelings, emotions, fears and pains and replaces it all with a new chance to live.

Through The Unknown, I express feelings of how grieving is felt as well as the compassion in addition to sadness. I let the reader explore what we are most alike and least alike in, through self reflection during sadness and grief. And how having something bad happen to you when you don't deserve it creates anger and lack of desire to grow will prove that the weakest of all could become one of the strongest. Therefore, it will help make a big difference in how well we understand one another.

Guests of the Body:
Poetry

by Majvor Sabine Aksoy

145 pages; quality trade paperback (softcover); poetry; catalogue #07-1444; ISBN 1-4251-3675-3; US$19.95, C$24.95, EUR16.92, £11.21

Each event, emotion and feeling is felt temporarily the same way to a guest visiting, once they leave, a certain memory is created and what surrounds that memory is a scent.

About the Book

Guests of the Body is a collection of inspirational, visionary and inventive poetry, where Aksoy describes love, emotion, feelings and heart ache in every way as a guest of the body. Aksoy takes something eternal and communicates it through what is temporal, by taking what is beyond this earth and express it through earthy senses and earth bound images and the reader enters a journey that describes in words how our heart ache in enticement, how our mind spur feelings and how our body's flattery travels all over our blood stream, and each event, emotion and feelings are felt temporarily the same way compared to a guest visiting, and once they leave, a certain memory is created.

Guests of the Body is her fourth published book. Aksoy has a unique way of writing, infused with it's own special characteristics, there is so much to be admired in the way she writes and the way she projects her personality into her writing. The way she ties her words together, is an amazing work of art.
